This picture was taken as I was sitting in my car on I-215. You can see that several cars were stuck and so the cars behind were trying to get around any way they could. It took me almost two hours to get from school to the church. That drive usually takes at the most fifteen minutes.
I hear that we should be expecting another storm to be moving through today. I'm ready for spring!
***UPDATE***
Life: I recently returned from the middle east. We had an amazing trip that I can't tell you about here. If you are in Salt Lake, come on by, we'll make you some tea and I'll tell you all about it. It was really sad to go from camping on beaches, shorts, and sunglasses to snow shovels, jackets, and snow but it was good to be home. In other news, Rachael and I are in month two of our strict training program. Rachael doesn't need it but is encouraging me and pushing me toward my goal. This is the longest I have been able to stick with any diet/training program. To date I have lost 18 lbs. I hope to be at my goal by this time next year. I was thinking about posting pictures of my progress but I would rather just have a before/after.
School: Rachael and I are halfway through the semester and both of us would love for it to be over. We have been busier than ever! We are going to Moab for a few days during Spring Break. We'll update the blog with pictures from Arches when we get back. I am looking forward to doing a little bit of hiking and taking a break from everything.
Church: As you know, Rodger has officially retired. If you want to check his progress on the trail click here. We are in the transition process now and to be honest it has been a little stressful/busy. The good news is that I got to preach last week and I feel that it went about as good as it could have. I received a lot of good feedback from the congregation which was really encouraging. I am excited to see what is going to happen at our church. There are a lot of changes coming up with the youth group that they are really pumped about! More on that later.
Currently Watching: We were finally able to get our Directv DVR set up so we can now watch all the shows that we wanted to but couldn't before. Scrubs, Heroes, Grey's Anatomy, CSI: Miami, 24, and The Office are all set to record. If you don't have a DVR or Tivo...you're missing out. I like that I can fast forward commercials and pause live TV.
Current Tunes: Future of Forrestry, Gnarls Barkley, Jim Gaffigan, Norah Jones, Anberlin, Smashing Pumpkins, Switchfoot, U2, The Fray, Mutemath, and Corrine Bailey Rae are all in frequent rotation on my ipod.
Idea: I was listening to a podcast this week and they presented an idea of taking one interesting picture a day for one year. I think I am going to try this one out. I'll post them here if I decide to do this.
Until next time!
